Handyman 1

This position is an entry level employee with no prior handyman or construction experience. 

Skills to Master:

· Techniques of painting and drywall repair/installation and insulation

· Hang pictures, mirrors, blinds, curtains, shelving

· Doorknobs, locks, door installation (indoor/outdoor)

· Basic landscaping and yard clean up

Handyman 2

This position is for the employee who have either completed Handyman 1 or has proven, yet limited handyman or construction experience/skills.

Skills to Master:

· All Skills of Handyman 1

· Flooring installation

· Countertop installation

· Cabinet installation

· Window

Handyman 3

This position is for the employee that has successfully completed Handyman 1 & 2 or has proven advanced handyman or construction skills and experience. This position is the last step before Master Handyman. Employees coming into the company with advanced skills must start at Handyman 3 until a 90-day review at which time performance will be evaluated for advancement. 

Skills to Master:

· All Skills of Handyman 1 & 2

· Install ceramic flooring on the floor and wall

· Basic electrical: install switches, outlets, ceiling fans, ceiling lights and electric stoves

· Basic plumbing: install toilets, faucets, showers, tub/tub faucet, unclog sink or toilet, repair leaks, garbage disposal installation and repair, install dish washer, washing machine, install gas stoves

Master Handyman

Once all aspects of the Handyman position have satisfactorily been mastered, a review with management will be conducted to assess if candidate is ready for Master Handyman. 

Prosser Construction is GROWING and we are looking for an Estimator to join our TEAM! This position will involve hands-on training and mentorship so minimum experience is required. Strong candidates will be able to handle working in a fast-paced environment and enjoy a team mentality collaborating on projects. 

As the Estimator you will follow your project from start to finish, scheduling site visits, tracking budgets, handling sub-contractors, scopes of work, change orders, order materials and of course the happiness of your customer. 

Your Responsibilities

• Follow up with leads. 
• Build new and existing relationships with customers. 
• Perform on site field measurements, meet with customers, and create project estimates. Prepare shop drawings when necessary.
• Perform take-offs from blueprints/ architectural and calculate materials needed. 
• Meet with customers on site or at show room to confirm project selections/finishes to finalize budget.
• Create full scope of work for each sub-contractor and confirm work schedules. 
• Closely oversee projects to ensure quality schedule and budget is being followed.
• Re-direct project as needed (change orders, change of suppliers, schedule updates, etc) 
• Order materials 
• Run materials to job sites as needed. 
• Meet sub-contractors on site to complete walk-thru and quality checks. 
• Ensure final invoicing is correct with project change updates before accounting sends out for billing.
• Build new and existing relationships with sub-contractors and vendors. 
• Perform additional assignments per management's direction.

Requirements:

• Basic understanding of blueprints/architectural drawings 
• Must have basic mathematic skills to include reading and calculating measurements. 
• Must have basic understanding of how a home is built 
• Must have a Can-do Attitude, eagerness to learn and enthusiasm to work as a team.
• Workers must be punctual and reliable.
• Basic understanding of accounting and project management concepts.
• Comfortable with numbers and technology.
• Fast learner on software.
• Great attention to detail.
• Excellent communication abilities.
• Well-organized.
• Must have valid driver license and valid insurance.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Be at least 18 years of age with a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must have bank account for Direct Deposit payroll.
